Posted by: creaturemd at Sun Feb 14 23:48:24 2010 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by creaturemd ] He disappeared from my back yard while I was out of town for a few days. By the time I got back and found him gone he could have been missing for up to 5 days. I handed out 600 flyers with color photos and put up so many signs I got a call from the local police department asking me to take them down. I offered a LARGE reward but to no avail. I got lots of calls about roaming greens but no information whatsoever on my boy. He was so large and so ridiculously tame that I am certain had he managed to escape on his own and been perusing the neighborhood someone would have seen him. He would run right up to anyone looking for a handout. I'm convinced that someone noticed I was gone for a few days and decided to snoop around the property for anything of value. What they found was a very large, very sweet iguana and probably thought "this might be valuable." I'm sure whoever took him had no idea what they had. I cringe to think some moron has him in a 55 gallon aquarium in their basement somewhere. I will try to post some photos although much to my embarrassment I am not very computer savvy. Thanks so much for the replies and the sympathy. Not too many folks understand emotional attachment to a big scaly reptile [ Hide Replies ]
