>>Another question I got for you Jeff is Kerry King I know your good friends with him. Is it possible to get him more involved in this. With the American carnage tour coming up he and Slayer have a lot going on, their going a lot of places that could bring a lot of awareness to this. Would it be possible to set up some kind of displays that could be set up at their merchandise booths? You and I both know that there is going to be a ton of reptile keepers attending these shows. Also just the individual people that will be at Slayer/Megadeth shows we know are the kind of people that believe in standing up for what’s right against the system. Ya know? I mean if you’re a wuss that’s scared of the world and afraid to voice your opinion, you don’t go to a Slayer concert. Is it possible to get him to use some of the star power to get some tv time about this or atleast set something up at the shows. Also I’ve wondered that about Chad Brown and Nicolas Cage? I mean these are guys that could literally make 2 phone calls and get a boatload of cameras turned in their direction. I have no idea how anybody could get a hold of Nicolas, I do know he keeps a large collection of reptiles but I know your friends with Kerry and Chad.

Ill take a moment to hit on this as well as a few other things. One thing to look at with the larger breeders is HONESTLY traveling with larger constrictors in the winter is a PITA and very hard on the snakes. The fact however that they were there, meeting with the folks from both USARK and PIJAC is something to be looked at. Sure they didnt have a booth and selling their animals, but these breeders were there for the community as a whole. The simple fact that they werent there making money needs to be looked at. They were spending money not making it to be part of this weekend. BTW I believe $15.00 is the normal admission for all NARBC shows. I know its more than the local shows, but I do believe that is the norm. Both Jeff and I were there and we spoke with a LOT of people. Granted I would have LOVED for it to be in a warmer climate but hey I live in Wisconsin, what can I say.

On to the celebrities, this was something heavily discussed. In fact I spoke extensively with Chad Brown about it Saturday evening. Chad is game and all for it. He is more than willing to do the dance so to speak for us as a community. All they need to do is speak up. I do think Kerry would also be willing to some extent, with the tour and being on the road for many months right now that will be hard, but as a huge fan of Megadeth and knowing Dave's political themes I agree that may be a very good venue to reach out to a new crowd. The drawback is that often times labels control the output of info at these shows. Not sure the logistics involved, but Jeff and I can chat and see what we can get Kerry to do. Several celebrities names were floated.

That was part of the good thing of coming together. Everyone got a chance to sit and think about who and what are part of the community as a whole and now we have a few ideas to move forward with.
