That sounds like a libelous statement to me.

In the past, he had been strong enough to fight off infections, but by the time he realized the symptoms were overtaking him, it could have been too late. The first bite might have been bad luck on Huff's part. But now he was defenseless. Ron Huff's death was gruesome. But to those who understood him, it seems to have come about because he was more concerned for the welfare of his pets than himself."
Does not adequately support the first statement.
