Hello,
First of all, I would like to thank those that posted info for the types of racks to use with hogs. I'm thinking I can use the iris shoe and sweater boxes in an AP rack. Now I'm a little curious to see if additional species can be kept within the same rack. At the moment, I don't have enough hogs to fill an entire rack. Could I keep different species within the same rack that have similar care requirements? Just curious since I'm heard that some people don't like to keep boas in the same rack with pythons (and sometimes with in the same room) due to possible transmission of pathogens. I, of coarse, always put snakes in year long quarantine period before I add new snakes to a room. But what I'm curious about are the natural snake eaters? Can they be housed in the same rack with other species (including hogs)? Does this cause any stress to either species? Are there any pathogens that certain species tend to carry that can be harmful to other species?
Thanks,
W. Smith
