If all you have is a camera, no hooks etc you should be OK. Now BBNP at night could be an issue, because if you do anything at all you will get dinged.
For example:
You decide to drive around at night in BBNP and observe animals on or near the roadway. You see something and would like to stop and take a longer look... not even getting out of the car you could end up with a long waste of your time encounter with the LE there. Now if you got out, you could get in trouble for harrasing the animal. And if you have any sort of hook or container you can get in huge trouble for hunting.
As a rule, if you want to look at night you will have fewer issues doing so in some great habitat that is not inside BBNP. But as you know right now it is not legal to take any animal from a public right of way in TX, and that of course includes our roadways and shoulders.
Anyway, come down, have a good time, and just be aware of the rules... many of which are not clear unfortunately. ----- ___________________________
