NO ONE asks to see your fishing license at the local shows or petshops when purchasing a native species. However, if LWF finds you have native snakes in a sack in your vehicle or boat, then they will ask to see your license as it is required to capture snakes. Also, LA requires a permit/license (not fishing) to sell natives in the state.
