That would only work if they had already filed some kind of report, but had not released it to the public.
As researchers, they have a perfect right to take as long as they deem necessary to complete their research, write it up, and then submit it to a peer-reviewed publication, or to their agency. If that report was then withheld from the public, that would be the time to file a FOI request. ----- Brad Chambers
