It would be nowhere near the threat that they are where they actually occur and even there if most people actually wore shoes it would cut down on snake bites tremendously. The strawman argument is actually worrying about exotic snake envenomation from an escaped snake. Here in Fl. there are around 500 venomous permit holders statewide in a state with a population of about 18 million. I live 50 miles north of Orlando there are probably 500 meth labs between my house and Orlando any of which could blow up at any time. There's probably more of them than I would care to know around my house. I don't worry about it though it's ridiculous. You should read through those statistics btw if I remember correctly you have a 1 in 89 chance of being involved in a fatal car accident that's way more scary than snakes.
