He's a nice animal. I think you made out here. It is a good thing when somebody is lucky because of you.
I have three snakes in my collection which are there because I took pity on them. One is a California king who is the nicest little guy, never musks and has become quite trusting, and a sedate little Pacific gopher who is also very gentle. These are cat rescues, and I felt that putting them back in the wild would just be feeding another cat down the road. The third snake is my most recent, a tiny little pyro who only weighed 10 grams when I got her this March 2, and she was hatched last August, but since I have had her she has gained another 5.3 grams because I like to feed them often, and she likes to eat! At her former owner's she was only fed every ten days. Like your pine, she was in blue as well and didn't look so hot, but is beautiful now.
