You always have to keep in mind any animal you get might not be the norm. hogs will definitely calm down easily. but even my calmest still have their moments. they seem to randomly get spooked. as for biting they really dont bite. I have been bitten several times, but they all seemed to just be a feeding response. i have never been bitten after making sure they know i dont have food. the bites dont hurt at all really. i would rather be bitten by 20 hogs than an ant. im sure you will grow to love the attitude, its like a harmless little fat cobra.
