The 2 more recent albigs we got had small tail bases until the last few weeks, then they just grew. Amazing when I looked at pics I took before and after they became mature.

Sobek has a tail base that is like a female but he everts fully flowered hemipenes, so I dont believe that works all of the time. Ive had a female with a large tail base that everted only small hemiclitori. Ive had a few males that I couldnt tell until I saw a full eversion. Thats why I dont try to guess until I know for sure.
