First, I have no idea about the flower thing. Males and females are totally different. Not just with their gentitals, but in build and additude. I can tell what sex they are from across the room.
If you have an albig over a foot or so, there should be no doubt. Also, how do you know for sure? In our case, males breed females and females lay eggs. So far, Albigs are by far the easist to sex of all monitor species.
I know, I may be totally wrong, but from your posts, you sound like you have never seen a sexually mature male. As there is absolutely no question. You do not need to check for flowers. There is no need for maybe or possibly. A male is simply not within a hundred miles of being female. F
