RE: UVB Coil bulbs....good or bad?

They are safe on Adult Beardies I have heard. I personally have had bad experiences with them.



I advise to NEVER use them. The are a compact bulb and is extremely Bright, and leads to eye sight problems and makes it harder for them to hunt.



Strip Bulbs 5%, 8%, or 10% UVB are a lot milder in Brightness but provide the essential UVB requirements for a desert reptile such as a Beardie.



The t8 Zilla 10% UVB strip I recently purchased actually adds a "drop" of Heat as well. I do replace all bulbs every 18-24 months to play it safe.
