Littering(and burning trash), unfortunately, is a way of life for many here in South Carolina. Many people cant afford or simply won't pay for trash pick up. The bright side is, trash and debris attract snakes. Its a bad habit that could be easily corrected. I guess I'm just used to the litter and dont even notice anymore. The bubbles are from stagnation of the water. It was a stream that is normally dry by the end of summer. When it swells, it can hardly handle the water flow and it pools up and slows down. Its really just a water filled ditch.
