Good stuff; Thanks for posting! One thing I would like to note;

1. What the CDC records as Salmonella from reptiles is very bogus. Everyone knows from the last few years from media reports and recalls the incidence of Salmonella from spinach, chicken and many other sources including dogs and cats. All these sources of Salmonella were around when they passed the turtle rules, but of course reptiles are always the fall guy. If someone in your family gets Salmonella, goes to the Doctor for treatment and it is reported reptiles are in the house, the data goes into the CDC as reptile related. This is the way it has always been. No filtering is done by the CDC; it's all based on estimates and physicians guessing the source. This is not to say that a child could not get Salmonella from a turtle, just that the CDC numbers are over inflated in regards to reptiles.

How many of you reptile keepers out there have ever had Salmonella?
