I would trade 10 texas rats for one speckled kingsnake, it seems they are the most common snake in texas, almost every herping trip reveals at least one. And you are correct about their bad reputation, if handled enough, they can become quite tame, and I have seen some very nice looking specimens. [ Hide Replies ]
