I am working with a local soldier who will be heading out for a long period as well to board his snake. He has supplied all the amenities it will need in the foreseeable future (large tank, heating method, water dish, etc). He has chosen to pay a boarding fee as well as a per feeding fee.

I also made a list of scenarios for us to decide what action he would like for me to take. For instance, what if the snake needs to go to the vet? What if it passes away? Etc. I made a long list of these, along with several options on how to deal with them. We are going to sit down and either choose and action or rank the actions in order he would prefer I do them.

This isn't so much a contract as a means of making sure we both understand what our responsibilities are regarding the snake. This might be a good place to start if you do find a breeder or recreational keeper who is willing to board your snake.
