Here is how I see it...
A strong, healthy neonate will have no problems hatching from an egg... If it does not make it out of the egg, it is not a genetically strong animal and should not be assisted... This leads to weak genetics being propagated into our captive stock...

It is survival of the fittest in nature and it should be no different in captivity...

Thats my opinion...
