If the Tegu did come from a pet owner, it probably escaped while on vacation with its owner. Tegus are too valuable and easy to sell to be released when no longer wanted. I doubt, though, that the Tegu's owner would reclaim it after all the media attention, but that would be nice to see if it did happen. | ||
