If you are using an under tank heater without a thermostat, you are cooking him. Even though the ambient temperature may by 95 degrees, the temperature of the glass and substrate can get MUCH hotter. You either need to add more substrate in between the glass and the animal to prevent the animal from getting close to the heat source to purchase a thermostat to use. [ Hide Replies ]
