And to ship through an airline you must be verified. I was Delta verified because I used to deal with a lot of venomous snakes. I was verified in 2003. In the last few years I haven't shipped much through them and went to a couple of weeks ago, only to find out I had been dropped. When they merged with NW they dropped a lot of their inactive shippers. The lady then told me that it would be pointless to re-verify if I planned to ship less than 10x per year. So, I guess if it comes down to the airlines being the only legal way to ship, then a whole lot of us are screwed.
