few month old iguana and 4 months later the neighbor called as it was sitting on their fence top, lizards are territorial and do no stray far, they have loads of plants and flowers to eat and insects. Our iguana came back very fat and content, none the worse for being loose for over 4 months, then repeated it a year later for several weeks also. We also lost a baby dragon in the house once and found her with the crickets a few days later.
Remember, these little guys hatch and grow in the wild with no one to feed or care for them, I know it is heartbreaking right now, but don't give up hope...... she is probably watching you when you are outside during the day.
