17 Eggs is a large clutch for this species, the average is usually about 3-10 eggs - average 6 per clutch. Laid on 16th May, they are 8 days into incubation and expected to hatch in the next 2 weeks. Incubation can be as little as 13 days for this species but more usually 21-28. Incubating them on an unheated shelf in the reptile room with natural night time drops. (22-28C).

Interested in hearing from anyone else who has had large clutches from their Diones.

So far from emailing other breeders, the largest clutch size for this species is 25 from a Chinese locality girl.
