Heck, ya! Here's a couple showing some variability just in the intermontanus...

A fairly normal darker one

A very light colored one from another county.

Pantherophis emoryi intermontanus is one of my favorites, because there's much variability from just this one form of the subspecies, and because they are the smallest of the Emory's ratsnakes...

PS: Some folks don't recognize "intermontanus" as a subspecies, but just a local variation of P. emoryi.
