Posted by: Andy__G at Sun Jun 6 23:11:00 2010 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by Andy__G ] I offer my hatchlings food every 4 days, and if after 6 offerings they do not eat, I start to try tuna scenting and the other tricks. Baby hognose are not "picky" when it comes to eating baby mice, but some just do not recognize them as food or they find the scent threatening, so if you do not try a few different tricks they can starve themselves because of this, but I have found that baby hognose snakes are very hardy animals when provided with the proper husbandry (plenty of drinking water, temps, etc.) so I wouldn't get worried just yet! It's all about patience. [ Hide Replies ]
