Maybe hognose snakes are the missing link between oviparous and ovoviviparous colubrids... LOL



Actually I always wondered if that is the result of under-calcification or lack of calcium intake by a gravid female, or if it is just what hognose eggs do... Personal, I give the rodents a dip in calcium powder every two feedings for my gravid female and once a month for everyone else... Awesome photo by the way...
