Jared had made ones that looked like her (see pic) but because his original female (he later called a Specter) didn't look much like the babies she was producing he really didn't know for sure how to pick them out until I showed him how my clutch looked and then he could tell what was going on with his animals. Had I known he was going to end up changing the name after I had already done the leg work for the ingredient side of the Super Stripe project in the manner he approached things I wouldn't have given him any information at all. Enough people noticed what happened to the name and agreed it wasn't very professional to do what he did so that is why many people call them Whirlwind /Specters or Specter /Whirlwinds now, splits the credit up between us is a fair way of looking at it. He made the Super Stripes first , I proved out what the visual ingredient gene looked like first as before my clutch came into the picture all the Super Stripes were from that one adult female he started the project with. Even though he had made Specters as well he didn't breed them out to prove they were the gene until later as he obviously wasn't willing to risk his Yb females to 'possibly' find out what was going on with those early males before he could tell what was what, plus his other female Specters wouldn't have been big enough yet to breed out to Yb males anyway back then! | ||
