Here is another example for you.

An analogy...

My garage gets to 110 degrees. Maybe even 115 or 120. I could put my dragon outside in that garage.

He/she would most likely enjoy the heat. Maybe open mouth gaping to cool down a bit but there is no amplifying uv index in this equation. As long as it doesnt get to far past 115 to 120 max, he/she would be fine for a couple hours in the garage with good ventilation.


When you apply the radiation heat (intense uva/uvb light) the heat is collected in the animal and their temperatures will quickly surpass the critical maximum. The uva/uvb compounds the temperatures resonance in the animal.


It is not because of radiation poisoning. It is because the uva/uvb solar radiation causes a build up in the animal of heat that is what causes the problem.

Not just the heat alone.
