And speaking of that jackrabbit you caught...I once caught a male Kestrel hawk at night under a bridge while looking for snakes. I was shining my spotlight around and looking up at the swallow nests and then this little falcon woke up and was startled, then flew directly into my spotlight lens and landed on the ground at my feet, so I put my cap over it! I was sooo tempted to take it home, they are really beautiful up close. And their claws and beak can do a number on your hands too! [ Hide Replies ]
