I'd use the shoe boxes too, but my incubator is too small. The 5 eggs I've hatched so far this year were in Tupperware containers...same setup as that only smaller tubs.

Next season I plan on converting this HUGE thick styrofoam cooler I have into an incubator. That would give me room for 6 of the boxes you use.
