The Whitesided trait was allelic between the 2 subspecies and all came out whitesided. The pattern was lighter than the Blackrat and more yellow. I'd be interested in seeing pictures. I've seen adult whitesided yellow rats and black rats, but I've never seen the whitesided intergrades as adults and I'd be curious to know how they turn out.
