Like Tim said, creamsicle originally referred to only the orange "creamsicle" looking ones like he pictured but it is now synonomous with great plains (emoryi)/ corn crosses expressing amelanism.
So a snow (amel/anery corn)to a cream (corn/emoryi cross expressing amelanism) would give you amels with great plains blood so they would be called creamsicle to indicate the "mix"
some are almost impossible to detect the emoryi blood so this makes it immediately clear that the snake is not only corn.
