I agree with what the others are saying here but there is also the possibility that the breeder bred a Spider to a Genetic Stripe (Genetic Stripe is recessive) so it is possible to have a Spider that's Het for Genetic Stripe yet not visually that big of a deal due to the fact that G Stripe is recessive . Genetic Stripe is known for making alot of "black backed" looks too. I actually doubt that's what the breeder did but that cross has been done and it does exist (1st made by Kevin at NERD I think) so I'd try to find out to be sure as only the breeder would have the real answer to your question!
