In one small town in one day.
In comparison, how many were injured by captive reptiles all over the country all year, or even all century?
No telling how much mayhem a bearded dragon stampede would cause.
The thing about horses is, most states have laws indemnifying horse owners and equine event sponsors, from the injury they may cause. The basis for those laws is that equine activities are presumed inherently dangerous due to the size and power of horses and therefore that must be obvious to everyone without saying, based on common sense, so anyone near horses is presumed to be there by there own consent and at their own risk. The horse owners and event sponsors are not responsible for the medical bills of the 24 injured.
