>>No, 90-91 won't kill them for just a couple of hours, and into the mid-70's here and there DEFINITELY won't harm them, it will simply slow their development ever so slightly as opposed to 80-81 for that duration of time. Slight fluctuations aren't bad for the eggs, and slight evening dips might even be somewhat beneficial by letting the embryo rest a bit here and there. They will ALWAYS hatch in the mid-to upper 70's, it will just take longer(about 2 days difference for every 1 degree difference).

>> What IS dangerous, is getting into the higher temps past the mid 80's and into 90's!.

>> I suggest that if you cannot keep things at 80 or so with whatever you are using without absolute certainty of nothing going wrong, simply place them in a shoebox up on the top shelf of a closet with a reliable simple thermometer. Heat rises, so in a closed closet, it will likely be in the upper 70's. That is FINE!!!

>>When this is met, just make sure it is ONLY just moistened substrate, and not too wet, and BINGO!!!....little slithering crawlies will appear in about 70 plus days!
