I think this is some cool info.
My Gopher Snakes (P c bimaris) have a great talent. The females can double clutch from one breeding with a male! This has happened in my collection several times.
This year I bred an albino bimaris male to a female albino bimaris. I only put him with her 3 times in March. She laid 13 fertile eggs on May 21st. Without any further contact with the male, she laid 3 fertile eggs and 8 slugs on July 2nd.

I have purposely double clutched a few bimaris females and they will lay 2 good clutches. These sperm retention clutches are very cool though. I think it is because they come from very harsh conditions in the wild and need to captlize on breeding when they can.

I attached a pic of the female as she was laying.
