>>I have a "pair" that came from a friend, through the internet I was told were Mark Bell ? line. ANYWAY they are 03s and half the size of the other rats I got at the same time and similar sizes. I wanna sit, measure and photo document but got a bad mystery illness so that will wait til I can be more energetic. Til then, I am curious if anyone with experience with some of the hypos has noticed a slower growth or smaller size? I have the male getting more size on him finally. He also shows a white saddle pattern over the orange. He is catching up to the others that I know are 6 ft anyway. The female is a truer orange but a third smaller. I am kinda hep to breed them but obviously want more size on her especially. She is taking mice still and not huge ones. I have thought of going on to rat pups and seeing if I could push her growth but not sure that would really work. She is a willing eater and healthy otherwise. Maybe I am just impatient.

>>My 'ugly' greenish rats are huge (and mean) Though they are also maturing with a rusty background color that is kinda neat. I have two females I keep but don't really know what I want to do with. I lost the male to a bad reaction to flagyl....same with my whitesided everglades female. So my ratsnakes include

>>1.0 whitesided everglades
>>1.0 normal everglades
>>1.1 hypo everglades
>>0.2 greenish
>>1.0 albino yellow
>>0.1 yellow

>>Would you look for a male greenish for those girls? They are Dwight Good's line. They coulda been bred two years ago easy but I haven't had time or the male I wanted. I am hoping to have this settled for next breeding season and am open to ideas.

some snakes just don't grow as large as others...if the everglades are 03's I don't think you need to worry about breeding the female. Seven years old I don't think you need to worry about pushing her size, she's an adult everglades....let her breed.
I have a 32 inch snow corn that has bred four seasons in a row, averages 14 eggs a season...not high numbers but she's just a small snake. Eats same as the others. Some stay small.

greenish rat is a blak/yellow right? I guess if it was me I'd try to find a male greenish to keep the mix. But because they are mixes already You could breed them to the albino yellow. You would just end up with hatchling "greenish" rats with a higher pecentage of yellow.
