So I had a couple of toads in the freezer and decided to skip the other stuff and just make a toad smoothie in the blender, which you are correct doesn't look to appealing. After washing a f/t pinky (a seemingly critical step, that I never really thought about for some reason) and soaking it in the juice for about 45 min. I put it in front of the hog and she almost instantly devoured it. I'm feeling pretty good about it all now. Again, thank you guys for all the advice, it has definately helped in the present and probably will in the future too.
