Ultimately the decision is up to you based on what morphs appeal most to you, combined with what morphs are available at the show. You can look through the KS classifieds to get a feel for the morphs that are available and the kinds of prices they go for. Make up a list of the ones you like best in the $1000 or under price range. I'd personally go for one or two nice quality balls rather than try to buy a whole breeding group and spread your money thin on a bunch of normals or single morphs. But that's me.
