I feel for the turtles but the fact is this guy was a rat so I don't feel for him at all.
I can't speak to the man's character, but I grow weary of hearing stories of how these "wildlife warriors" hoping to make a name for themselves/their agency 1.bend the rules because "they know the guy's guilty, they just have to figure out how to catch him/what to charge him with"--c'mon guys, if the person's really guilty, don't screw up your case by ignoring proper procedures; and 2.confiscate animals and then kill them through neglect. Even if the person's exonerated, they get back a couple of live animals--if they're lucky--out of hundreds confiscated in some cases.
What is really in these animals' best interests? ----- Chris McMartin
