Bill started the bubblegums from a triple cross about 1990. They are definitely an amel Black x amel Yellow x amel Everglades (triple homozygous) morph. The amel gene was introduced to the Yellow and Everglades via The amel Black rat gene. No hypo in the original one's at all. When these triple het offspring were back-bred each other, that is the origin of the first "bubblegum" Ratsnake.
However, he also had a 100% pure strain of hypo Everglades as well, but those have nothing to do with "bubblegums at all.
Don't get me wrong, there can be any and almost EVERYTHING under the sun in stuff now, and there certainly is in many types of breedings out there..LOL!, but they didn't originate from those other traits is all I am saying.
