I noticed this with my BRBs and I kept them on clean plain paper towel which I changed regularly. When I first noticed the pink I at first though it was irritation or scale rot in early stages but it was way too evenly distributed over the entire belly...didn't make sense it would be from soiled paper towel, especially when I clean the cages at least once a week, more if it gets soiled. About the only time my snakes sit in soiled paper towel for a few days is when I am gone for a weekend, and they 'go' while I am away.



I don't remember seeing this redness when my female brb was a baby, just notice it while she is an adult...and being adult, she didn't shed all that often.. 2-3 times a year.
