thanks a lot for your post. It is very important that people understand how the Raptorboa works and I think you just nailed it! I also think the Aztecs & Raptors have some things in common, but there are also differences that tell they are not the same & both have their advantages.



Off course I did a lot of thinking the last years and I am wondering what you think of my thoughts:



I believe that connected pattern morphs are all on the same spectrum, though not exactly on the same gene/alleles. Actually aztec, motley, arabesque, roswell, key west & raptor are all showing the same effect though not exactly have the same appearance & colors. I think some have more extreme effect, like motley were the Super is completely black/patternless and the heterozygous is also more extreme muted than the other connected morphs.



Incomplete dominance is actually something that is like mathematics, and I've thought to express it in numbers. Let me try to explain that one.



I think the more extremely muted the heterozygous form is, the more patternless the Super becomes. This is probably why your Super Aztecs are even patternless sometimes. Your aztec is probably a 3 on "the scale of connecting" (Man... does that make sence?). Your super is a 3 3=6. Like for reference an arabesque would be 1 1=2 and for example the motley would be 4 4=8. The Raptor I consider 2 2=4.



What do you say about all this?



Anyway I've loved your Aztecs since I saw them for the first time and I especially like those heavy patterned specimens Aren't morphs the greatest thing?
