The Exo-terra tank you described would be perfect, providing its 36" long, and not tall...or if its possible to lay it on its side, since corns are better with floor space than height, even if they can climb fairly well.



I definitely understand getting rid of all your snakes when your child was born and nice you are getting back in. Perhaps your daughter is now old enough to appreciate how wonderful snakes are and will lend a hand in its care



As I am sure you are aware, corn snakes are very resilient...and can thrive in practically any sort of habitat, be it a beautifully arranged vivarium style set up or a very basic and boring sweater box tub with paper towel and a empty TV dinner box hide.



Important thing is to have the right temperatures and humidity, at least two hides (one in cool side, one in warm side) and a dish of water.



For heat undertank heating works best, but a low watt light can be used so the cage is lit up during the day, for viewing. Corn snakes are more active during dusk and dawn, than during the day. I just use ambient room lighting for my corn snakes...(clear sided cages) and I rarely see them out earlier than 4pm in the summer...sometimes they are out and about much earlier in the winter, if I am not cooling them. (if being cooled, they don't tend to be all that active). Not that I typically cool my corn snakes...my apartment tends to stay a constant temperature, and its not cool enough to really cool corn snakes effectively.
