Not only expensive, but I believe I heard that the trait may be hit or miss. Breeding pieds may not guarantee you will get pieds, better pieds, or pieds as good as the parents in a litter if not mistaken. They are IMO arbitrarily classified as high or low pied expression by the amount of white on the sides, etc. It appears the "science" behind this morph is not set in stone or well understood. I may be wrong in my understanding, but thats what I am getting based on what I am picking up here and there.
