all babies come with the same pattern, that awsome orange head fading to grey bodies. as they mature, they can turn black. its the most common, and least sought after one. theres one thats almost jet black on the classifieds right now. the ones where i am up in ny are always dark, but always have a slight pattern. if you want a black one, get it as an adult. buying as babies will turn any of the results a google images search for eastern hognose snake will yield. Babies are colored to look like venomous snakes. look up a pigmy rattler or a dusky rattler then the eastern baby. i wish they stayed the baby colors.
