A suggestion for GTPs --

If you want to buy a hatchling as I assume you do, handle it first. Many people say that GTPs are just always nippy but they aren't, I have held many very tame individuals that I was told were tame right out of the egg.

Of course, you may just want one for looks, in which case it wouldn't really matter ...

One cool snake is a viper boa, from the Candoia genus. They are from the Solomon Islands. They are small and robust, slightly shorter than a blood python, and cool to look at because they mimic a death adder.

Amazon tree boas are cool if you want a display snake, they may impress people by trying to strike at you from behind the glass. Halloween phase are especially pretty but they fade as they get older.

Good luck with whatever choices you make!
