Blood Boas and the Quest for the Red Boa

I have lurked on Kingsnake for 10 years and seen the fads come and go. However, I was wondering what everyone thinks of the current Blood Boa market and the quest for the truly red Boa (BCI that is).



Back in 2002, I originally thought Salmons would be the ticket to get the reddest boa possible. However it seems that as my Salmons aged, they turned more brown than red.



Then came the Blood boas, but they were too pricey to buy when they first came out. Now after doing more research it seems that these really don't stay all that red either. I figure the prices will start coming down after this next breeding season, so then they may be worthwhile to experiment with.



Or course now there is the Blood/T boa, but once again I don't see $12K for boas in my immediate future.



So all in all, I'm trying to see if the red boa is reasonably attainable in my lifetime. Also, I'm curious to see some of you guy's adult "red" boas (morphs or not). Thanks for indulging my curiosity!
