i think we need to wait for Mike or Robert to chime in. But from what i have read, and its the same source as Dave. It appears that Robert is saying that the gene is not acting as a recessive one.
I dont think that anyone has crossed the seib and sharp lines, so we wouldnt know if they are compatible or not.
It seems that yes the sharp line, has been proven out as recessive, but this doesnt mean the seib one has.
I know of at least 6 lines of anery at the present time, but only 1 that is truly proven out, maybe 2. Time will tell for the others, but it wont happen overnight. And it may take even longer to see if any are compatible, as people will be more worried about trying to make more of the line that they already own than doing crosses.
