Kinda....

One of the females I bred this year I was sure was not gravid and had put her back in a tub rack for normal feeding and to clear up cages for females I though were gravid. Middle of last week I was cleaning and when I picked her up she clearly had that Soft belly feeling just like a gravid female. Hmmm, maybe she did take... So,I swapped her back into a cage as there is a little gap between the tub and rack.

Had a show this last weekend in Sacramento. All in all it was an awesome show, Jeremy does very well at promoting it and getting people in the door, us vendors do the rest. I had packed up all my snakes the night before and left them in the BRB room to stay warm.

As I'm loading out the boxes of animals in the wee hours Saturday morning, I notice Crystal is under the paper - odd? So, I opened the cage and found her just finishing off dropping the fist baby....

By the time I'm done loading up, she's pretty much done....

There was an odd blood streak on the paper and pretty soon I figured out why. Her first born had already left the nest and taken off for higher ground...

(the door lock)

All the babies in a tub on Sunday when I returned

Doesn't show it real well but all heads up and ready to strike.......

Total of 10 babies, no slugs or stills,

Of course by Sunday there was not just one but two litters to handle!!

Scarlett had also dropped her litter. From the look of them I'd say there were also born on Saturday

14 babies, 1 still and 1 slug,

Thanks for looking, hope you enjoyed my Monday morning story!!

Thanks,

Dave Colling
